After battling with Britain’s Kay, the Dutch athlete took her second consecutive U23 European title after the one in Rosmalen
The Netherlands were once again victorious at the European Championships in Silvelle (Padua). Ceylin Del Carmen Alvarado crushed the competition in the Women’s U23 race, soloing over the finish line after a good fight with her opponents, without letting the muddy course stop her. This is her second consecutive European title in the U23 category.
Nothing to do for Britain’s Anna Kay, who tried everything she could to stay on top of her rival, but eventually finished 12″ from Alvarado. French rider Marion Norbert Riberolle finished in third place, 1’02” behind.
The Italians also performed quite well: Francesca Baroni took the sixth place, although she was rather behind the Dutch winner, finishing at 3’54”.
